Abstract

Introduction: Ectopic pregnancy presents in 2% of all pregnancies worldwide, of which approximately 1.3% occur abdominally. This article presents a case of advanced abdominal pregnancy diagnosed at week 18, which progressed adequately until week 33, obtaining a live birth. Case presentation: A search of the literature was carried out in two databases, both in English. Results: Sixty-five articles were found related to the topic review, including 30 cases of advanced abdominal pregnancy reports in the last 10 years. Conclusions: An analysis of the diagnosis, management, and possible complications of cases such as the one reports in this article is carried out.
