Abstract
The theological problem of the realities of meaning explores the human being’s capacity for connection with provides meaning to his or her existence. The transhuman and techno-scientific paradigm provides this realm with hope and possibility by promising and realizing the overcoming of its biological limits, making it longer-lived and smarter through biological, bodily, artificial, and technical modification. Therefore, this article proposes an anthropological and theological analysis of the tension that exists between the human and transhuman realms. In conclusion, it highlights the influence of technoscience on the theological configuration of the person, and how there exists a criterion for interdisciplinary analysis by theology to redefine its human and spiritual meaning amid current technical and scientific development.
