Abstract

Eight percent of neurosarcoidosis cases present with epileptic seizures. Among the etiologies of temporal lobe epilepsy, neurosarcoidosis should be considered, since its predilection for basal and central structures makes it prone to diencephalic and hippocampal involvement. The present case describes a patient with epilepsy of mesial temporal origin secondary to neurosarcoidosis.
