Abstract
Between July and November of the year 2000, two Eleutherodactylus species were capturedin two areas of the Andean forest from the western sector of the Sabana de Bogotá. It wasfound that capture success was different in the two forests during the five months. Theamount of vocalizing males increased after the month where it presented more rainfall. TheEleutherodactylus sp. presence was related to the canopy herbaceous coverage, while the E. gr.bogotensis presence was strongly related to the understory and canopy cover. TheEleutherodactylus species microhabitat preference is described, as well as the vegetation coverover them.
