Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to describe the form in which the tailors Antonio Guedes Coutinho from Brazil and Ignacio Torres Giraldo from Colombia become important left ideas promoters during the last decades of century XIX and the beginning of century XX. The text is divided into four parts corresponding to: the historical contexts of these laborer leaders, the composition of left ideas from liberty conception, the forms in which these ideas were appropriated rhetorically, and a conclusion in which differences and correspondences of the laborer leaders acts are exposed, in order to demonstrate that they became ideologist of working and popular classes.
