Abstract
This paper presents some developments of the literature review related to the different forms of assessment of disability throughout western history. In that regard, it will be focused on the way disabled individuals are excluded. This exclusion goes from his physical disappearance (death) to isolation in specialized centers; its integration is not synonymous with inclusion. Furthermore, a theoretical proposal about new trends in didactics of heritage, in teaching regional and local history, for people with visual disability; showing new alternatives for inclusion in institutional plans. Moreover, the proposal to integrate the visit to the museum into the curriculum development of the subject of History [Social Sciences] and being able to give a clear functionality (prior definition of objectives) [what] influences in a very positive way, when carrying out activities at the museum “ (Suarez, Massac’s y Maroto, 2014, p. 1).
