Abstract

In recent years, Mobile Commerce (MC) is increasing its reception among users, which are looking for better mobile devices (MD) which comply their needs and preferences in order to take benefit of the services provided by the MC. To achieve the objective that MC services get more attractive to the users, it is necessary to personalize it: this means that services should allow the user to see the wanted information displayed on his/her MD. In order to get that kind of personalization, this paper presents a mobile commerce information platform (PIC-M, acronym for the spanish Plataforma de personalización de Información de Comercio Móvil), whose main function is to bring true personalized services to different users of MC. This platform, is composed of three layers: i) an adaptation, ii) a services and iii) an application layers. For the validation of the platform, a web application has been designed with three services: i) product catalog, ii) event offer, iii) places of interest, organized by location. Such services test all the operation of the PIC-M platform.
