Abstract
This article aims to suggest a series of criteria for thinking planning of environmental communication from documentary research of environmental communication meta-plans to determine the logic of how they are designed, To do this, the contributions of different authors about the role of communication in the environmental crisis in a planned way are included. The hypothesis followed in the investigation was that these documents respond to a limited instrumental scheme to seek changes in the behavior of recipients. Finally, alternative criteria, that allows changing the logic for thinking such planning considering communication focused on the subject and his training for transformation from a conscious and critical stance of co-existence in harmony with nature, is proposed.
