Abstract

During the therapy for the treatment of language disorders, a technology-based material approach, such as mini-games, could be introduced to motivate and interact with the patients, especially when they are children. However, adapting the therapy to the needs of each patient is essential to maintain the patient’s progress and interest, which makes it difficult to use just any kind of mini-game. This paper describes the creation of a Software Product Line (SPL) to produce customized mini-games that children could use during their therapy sessions. Our experience shows that software product lines are feasible to provide the customization required in the therapy.
