Abstract

The current technologies are being very useful in the production and execution of projects of concrete structures. The software, which are increasingly improved, have as a main function facilitate, speed and increase the reliability of results in the design of structural nature. The present study consists in showing a simplified calculation of a building of 04 floors, structured in reinforced concrete. This calculation will be performed in two stages, one with manual calculations of some pieces, chosen among many others to be compared and another stage with Commercial software named In the implementation of the project was done so, a pre-dimensioning of parts and then dimensioning the same ones, first by a manually simplified method and then by the commercial software. Finally, the results obtained using these two calculating ways were compared in questions as: final dimensions of parts, reinforcement rates, area of steel and concrete volume. Parameters that oversimplified will help to understand some differences between the software and the methods.
