Abstract

This research work is part of the Master on Education Pontificia Bolivariana University in Focus: Teacher: Thought-Training. On this work, an ethnographic oriented investigation is presented, showing perceptions of the concept of quality from an accredited program of higher education, from two views, internal and external. The project stems from the interest in learning more about the way an academic community lives and assumes the processes of certification and accreditation of quality, and likewise shows evidence of the impact factors in the external environment program at the academy. Through this research theoretical, reflection parts from the background to address authors, organizations and institutions that have been devoted to the study of the concept of quality. From its origins this attribute, has touched every area of human life, its historical evolution, and how this knowledge has permeated the field of Higher Education. The project hopes to contribute to the understanding of the factors that lead an academic institution and program through its training proposal, to get quality, and aspects that reveal the strengths and areas for improvement, and generate a process of reflection and self-standing building which aims at improving the undergraduate training proposal, and affects not only the quality of the program, but outside it.
