Abstract
This article aims to present the preliminary advancements of the tran-scription process and critical study of Vida ilustre, a hagiographic narrative about Antonia de Cabañas, a laywoman from Tunja, attributed to her confessor Diego So-lano. It examines the production and circulation of the manuscript through the lens of the concept of porosity at three levels: authorial, socio-spiritual, and material. It is argued that the permeable experiences of writing, subjectivity, and power relations around Vida ilustre attest to the complexity of early modern female Catholic spiritu-ality embodied by laywomen.
