Abstract
Evaluating the health outcomes and costs of palliative care programs helps guide the scalability of models. Researchers assessed the effect of the Sanitas Health Promoter Entity’s Contigo program on patients’ quality of life (QOL) and medical costs. Patients’ QOL from the Contigo program was significantly higher than usual practice patients, and their corresponding average medical cost was lower. These results provide further evidence to support the implementation of similar programs.
