Abstract

Introduction: Violence has been a constant throughout the history of Colombia, which has an impact at the level of and has generated a challenge at the level of the health sector where risk factors such as poverty have been established.
Objective:The general objective is to determine the association between the rate of domestic violence (DV) and monetary poverty (MP) for the Bogotá subnetworks in the years 2014, 2017 and 2021. Methods: A retrospective secondary quantitative analysis of an observational and analytical nature was performed, with a subsequent descriptive and bivariate statistical analysis using Rsoftware. Results: The analysis of DVin Bogotá between 2014,2017and 2021 reveals that the southern subnetwork has the highest rates, with an increase until 2017 and a decrease in 2021. The southwestern subnet follows a similar pattern, while the northern subnet shows a gradual reduction. In addition, there is a positive correlation between the increase in monetary poverty and DVrates, something more evident in 2021.Discussion and Conclusions: On the one hand, it was found that the main subnetwork affected by this problem was the South subnetwork, where a high rate of DVpredominates, as a percentage of MP. On the other hand, the North subnetwork was the one that maintained the lowest proportion of MP, while the Center subnetwork was the one that presented the lowest rate of DVduring the established period.
