Abstract

Due to the new functions assigned to the notaries public in Colombia, relating to the declaration of legal possession and the declaration of positive prescription, the authors analyze the nature of the notary public role, to conclude which judicial functions can be assigned to them. This is a product of the Interpretation and application of Private Law investigation project, which is one of the projects of the Civil and Commercial Law Investigation Group of the Faculty of Law in Pontificia Universidad Javeriana
