Abstract
Moral Distress (MD) is a phenomenon described amongsthealthcare personnel, that's been gathering interest littleby little due to its involvement in the daily dynamics ofclinical decision making. The current work's objective wasto structure an overview of the MD concept. A narrativereview was made with a qualitative analysis of 40 article'scontent related with the topic and obtained from thePubMed database. MD is a polycausal phenomenon thatstill lacks a concrete model with which to understandand interpret it which is why its frequency, intensityor the scope of its impact is unknown. MD is aphenomenon that lacks a complete theoretical backgroundthat would allow us to understand it fully, which is why it'snecessary to design interdisciplinary tools that'd allow a fullcomprehension and approach.
