Abstract
The sale and consumption of Psychoactive Substances (PAS) inside the Universidad Nacional de Colombia has represented a constant concern for the university community. The present study approaches this problem from the perspective of the attitudes, building an instrument appraiser of the attitude about the sale and consumption of PAS among the students with a Likert type scale of 21 items. The instrument was applied to a sample of 1321 students belonging to 11 faculties of the University. The results indicated a general negative attitude toward the consumption and sale of PAS, being the faculties of Medicine, Infirmary and Dentistry those that obtained the most negative attitude in the test; while the faculties of Arts and Human Sciences, the score were higher, indicating a more favorable attitude. Additionally, no differences between men and women were found, but age and semester indicated inverse relationships, where the attitude was more negative between the superior ranges of age and semester with the inferior ones. Finally, relationships among the students' reference group, type of training, environmental design of the university and the attitude of the students toward the sale and consumption of PAS are discussed.
