Abordaje geriátrico integral: escalas de uso frecuente en geriatría

Health personnel who provide care to an older adult require adapted and updated tools to understand all the dimensions of care. In this sense, Comprehensive Geriatric Approach offers its readers a set of scales for comprehensive geriatric assessment (VGI) at different levels of care and the experience of professionals who, in a didactic way, share their knowledge. This book seeks to be at the hand of health professionals to facilitate the interpretation of information from the clinical history of the older adult and to enrich it, based on four dimensions of comprehensive geriatric assessment. It also covers emerging geriatrics fields, such as orthogeriatrics, oncogeriatrics, and palliative care. Through tables and figures presented with a didactic methodology to facilitate interpretation and decision-making, this book makes a difference in the daily care of older adults, intending to improve the quality of life of older people, their families, and the community, in line with what was proposed by the World Health Organization (WHO) in the Decade of Healthy Aging (2021-2030).
