Abstract

In this paper, we describe PUMAS, a framework based on Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) for accessing Web Information Systems (WIS) through Mobile Devices (MD). The goal of PUMAS is to provide nomadic users with adapted information taking into account, on the one hand, their preferences and history in the system and, on the other hand, the limited capacities of their MD. We describe the four MAS of PUMAS which handle the adaptation process. We also describe how the user's queries are redirected towards one or several WIS which contains the information for answering them.
