Description
Training will be received by master's or doctoral program students at the Universidad Javeriana. They will undergo training as part of the Good Food Fellow program. Also, their training at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana will encompass aspects such as public health and public policies on health, food, nutrition, and chronic disease, strategies for community participation in research. To ensure ethical awareness, students must also complete different ethics courses CITI PROGRAM offers. The financing of this proposal will allow the active involvement of students in the project "Community-based Diabetes Risk Management" to contribute to the fulfillment of the objectives of the project. This project was developed with the communities of Valle del Cauca and Cauca in Colombia, and its purpose is to achieve dietary modifications to prevent diabetes. As a participatory initiative, its success relies on the commitment of the participating communities.
