Description
The mainstay treatments for Alzheimer's disease are the cholinesterase inhibitors. Since the cholinesterase inhibitors confer only modest benefits, additional non-cholinergic Alzheimer's disease therapies are urgently needed. This proposal outlines a research plan to find an inhibitor for Aß aggregation that could be further developed into a drug therapy for Alzheimer¿s disease and other diseases related to protein aggregation.
