Description
acording to Paul Ricoeur there is a link between narration and identity (Ricoeur 2002). In this project we start from this Ricoeurian narrative point of view about identity, and we want to show how in some narrations of peasants’ communities from Valle del Cauca, they tell their own way of thinking, acting or making decisions. actually, and according to Karl Jaspers (Jaspers 1965), philosophy, as a human necessity of understanding, is present in every community along the world because it is a human result of its capability of thinking and reflecting. That understanding is expressed in mottos and other stories and other oral traditions or narratives. Thus, in this work we want to investigate how in those mottos and narrations they tell their own understanding and their ethical and philosophical ways of live. It may be an important contribution to their historical process of identity as well.
