Description
During the last recent years, the creation of new companies has gained a notorious importance in the economic, political and academic discussion, due to the impact such firms have on countries’ growth and competitiveness possibilities. Therefore, this research piece, of a quantitative nature, investigates about the factors and conditions influencing the incorporation of firms which are born international —born globals— in Colombia, which may enssure their success in the market. For this purpose, a Relational Model is used to confirm starting assumptions, utilizing aMOS 16, as software and the data found in the survey conducted by GEM Colombia for year 2007. This study found that related factors are: founder, environment and firm. The study also found that firm’s internal factors are crucial at the time of building a born global.
