Project: Research

Project Details

Description

Analyzing positions, practices and social institutions around possession and uses of land, this research attempts to discuss, particularly, focusing on North caucan municipalities of Toribio, Miranda and Corinto in a time series analysis, how the armed conflict has signified a source for the constitution of social order or disorder. Specifically, for the cases and period mentioned, the purpose is to discuss, with the reference of the literature of microdynamics of violence, how, in zones of armed conflict, social order is determined by rebel’s strategic decisions or, by contrast, the product of the concatenation of these with social forms developed by civilians and the State before and/or during the war.
