Project Details

Description

This research is an applied academic work whose aim is to propose and present a new numerical method for reactivity calculation with the presence of Gaussian random noise around the average nuclear power, the implementation of filters: FIR, Exponential, Low Pass filter and Savitzky-Golay filter is expected to reduce the fluctuations caused for different nuclear power forms, which can improve results in the literature. The area of interest in this research is in Numerical analysis, specifically emphasizing the study of nonlinear ordinary differential equations system, called Point Kinetics Equations (PKE) known in the literature. This work presents a method that uses three filters to reduce fluctuations in reactivity calculation, as are the FIR filter, the filter of the first order Low pass delay and Savitzky-Golay filter.
