Project: Research

Project Details

Description

The projected increase in the older population in the U.S. has stablished that the number of Latino older adults is expected to grow even more than the general U.S. population. On the other hand, a PAHO/Merck Foundation study (1) has shown that aging demographics in Latin American and Caribbean of older adults reaching age 60 in the period between 2000 and 2010 are likely to experience worse health and more disability than those elders living in developed countries.
