The effect of international migration on the living conditions of colombian households in 2010. This proposal aims to measure the effect of international migration on the living conditions of Colombian households in 2010, using data from the National Survey of Demographic and Health, ENDS-2010. We will build a Living Conditions Index (ICV), using multivariate statistical methods. Through regression and multilevel models, we will determine whether there is a statistically significant relationship between the ICV and the migration. It is expected that Colombian households, in 2010, that had members living abroad, have higher rates of living conditions. It is also expected that the impact of international migration on the living conditions index of households differs by socioeconomic status.
