Description
We propouse a research regarding to ethnobotany social practices and knowledge of the sea and river landscape. This, assuming that the perception of the body; sickness-healthiness; rituals of birth and death; life and worldview are interrelated and create geographical and visual narratives that reveal processes of implementation, experience and empowerment of culture. The project consists on the development of a visual ethnobotany, complemented by a process of research-creation on agricultural culture, through the action of "cure", heal with herbs, beliefs and words. It's a ritualities project that crosses boundaries, rural and urban both, starting from the rivers of Colombia to the Caribbean Sea, also crosses the sea and it is complemented by the beliefs and cultural values of the population in Colombia and Cuba. It is about to discuss rites, symbols, beliefs and ways of care, care of self, care of the other and cultural care. Care modes represent an aesthetic of relationships in which the sensible is assumed as aesthetic care and materialize in images, maps and narratives.
