The purpose of this study is to determine the role of asian demand for commodities in the economic growth of Colombia through its influence in the global demand of commodities. We are planning to use two models to study this relationship: a vector autoregressive model to evaluate de influence of demand of asia on international commodity prices, and a model of economic growth with balance of payments constraints to evaluate the effect of the terms of trade on Colombia economic growth. }
