Description
Colombian State-making process has had particular local expressions. It has not been uniform. Civil war and different forms of State control over population have constituted local variants of political domination. Particularly, in certain regions agents with pretentions of political domination have competed, articulated, and/or coexisted. Civilian populations had been the objects of these pretentions. Therefore, this research attempts to characterize civilian’s comprehension of how multiple and simultaneous forms of political domination affect their agency structure. In concrete terms, the research is a case study of Rionegro township in Cauca (2005-2015) which focuses in the comprehension of population of its simultaneous relation with three agents with pretention of political domination: The State, insurgents (FaRC), and intermediaries.
