Personal profile

I am a passionate professional in biology and biochemistry, with academic training and research experience. I have specialized in the study of biochemistry with an interest in lectins with bioinsecticidal functions and also in molecules that affect pain channels. My interdisciplinary approach allows me to combine research with teaching. I am interested in applied research and in seeking biotechnological solutions that address environmental and health issues.

Professional Experience:
- Instructor of basic biochemistry, metabolic biochemistry, and cell biology (1999 - present).
- Teaching biochemistry courses at the university level, fostering active learning and critical thinking among students.

- Researcher, Protein Laboratory, National University of Colombia (2014 - 2020)
- Studied lectins with bioinsecticidal properties, evaluating their potential as a sustainable alternative in pest control.

- Researcher, Biochemistry Laboratory, Javeriana University (2012 - present)
- Research on molecules that modulate the activity of pain channels, contributing to the understanding of pain mechanisms and their possible treatment.
