Yors García is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, where he teaches in the undergraduate Psychology program, the Master’s in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on behavioral intervention, and the Ph.D. in Psychology. He is a member and director of the Research Group in Psychology and Health and has supervised numerous master’s and doctoral theses.

He earned his degree in Psychology from Universidad Católica de Colombia and completed both his Master’s and Ph.D. in Applied Behavior Analysis at Southern Illinois University. His academic and professional experience includes faculty positions in behavior analysis programs in the United States, as well as work as a researcher and clinical supervisor in Colombia. He has been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at the doctoral level (BCBA-D) since 2009.

His work focuses on the integration of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), particularly in areas such as parent training, ADHD, therapist development, clinical supervision, and training for health professionals. He has conducted extensive research on verbal behavior repertoires, stimulus equivalence procedures, and the design of interventions for both typically developing and neurodivergent populations.

He has led national and international projects on ADHD, autism, parent skills training, and psychological flexibility. His research has been published in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals, and he has presented at international conferences hosted by the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS) and the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI). In 2023 and 2024, he received research development awards from ACBS and the Kohlenberg Research Fund. He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of The Psychological Record.
