    Overview

    Personal profile

I am a Colombian and Haitian researcher, with a degree in Philosophy and Social Sciences, a Master in Latin American Philosophy and a PhD in Philology. I have several publications, including books, book chapters and articles in scientific and indexed journals, in Spanish, French and some texts in Haitian Creole, English and German. I have specialized in Migration Studies, from an interdisciplinary perspective. I have conducted situated research, particularly on borders, and articulated conceptual keys, categories and novel approaches in this emerging field of study, such as: “sociology of uprooting”, “ambivalent topical hermeneutics”, “traces and traces”, “textures of agency and folds of vulnerability”, “analogical hospitality”, among others. I have done research on Haitian, Colombian and Venezuelan migration, practically throughout the American continent, mainly in the Dominican Republic and South America. My topics of interest are: migration, Caribbean, uprooting, literature, philosophical hermeneutics, philology, among others.
