    Personal profile

    I obtained my Ph.D. in Experimental Nuclear Physics, specializing in data analysis and numerical simulations using Monte Carlo methods. My expertise in this field and a strong interest in medical physics propelled me to join the Master's program in Medical Physics. Here, I teach several core courses and an elective and oversee the thesis work of 7 Master's students, with an additional 2 currently under my guidance.

    Beyond my academic role, I have served as the leader of the Radiological Protection committee at the Colombian Association of Medical Physics (ACOFIMED) for over a year. Our collaborative efforts have yielded tangible contributions to the field, including the publication of one article and another submission to the esteemed international journal "Physica Medica"

    My research areas focus on the application of Radiological Protection in medical physics, using advanced Monte Carlo methods. I am deeply committed to both basic and applied research in Nuclear Physics, with the steadfast goal of further advancing our understanding and application of these essential disciplines in scientific and medical topics.
