    Juan Pablo Vera Lugo holds a PhD and Master's in Anthropology from Rutgers State University and Master's in Law from Universidad de Los Andes. Researcher on public policy, bureaucracy, experts, expert knowledge, transitional justice, human rights, and land planning. The recent work centers its attention on conflict, development, territorial planning and land use disputes in northern Colombia and the Amazonian region. His work experience has consisted in the development of guidelines for business and human rights, victims’ reparation and restitution programs, territorial peace and reconciliation standards. Juan Pablo has teached courses on political and legal anthropology, anthropology of state, public policy, anthropology and human rights,  social and cultural theory, and qualitative methods. The research addresses multidisciplinary, collective and collaborative work approaches
