Vivian Yaneidy Puentes Roncancio has been linked to the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana since 2025 and is currently an Instructor Professor at the Center for Theological Formation. She teaches in various academic and research programs in the field of Theology and the contemporary world. 

She has developed diverse research on biblical topics such as Latin American biblical hermeneutics. Her main research interests include contextual theology, exegesis and biblical hermeneutics in feminist perspective. She is also interested in working with grassroots communities in Popular Bible Reading. 

She has published over the years a considerable number of original articles in reputable national peer-reviewed journals.
