    Overview

    Personal profile

Assistant professor at the Faculty of Education of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Director of the Research Group on Education, Subjectivities and Politics. Researcher of the research line in Education for Citizenship, Peace and Coexistence. Postdoctoral intership with the University of Geneva (Switzerland) and the University of the Andes (Venezuela).

My areas of research focus on citizenship, peace, and coexistence in school and community settings.

I have been a researcher in the area of the epistemology of research and creation. I have also completed a postdoctoral internship on various epistemologies of research in education, communication, and the arts, particularly in the methodology known as Sensitive Research for other educational events in Higher Education at the Center Interfacultaire en Sciences Affectives at the University of Geneva (Switzerland). It approaches the development of a methodological design for addressing artistic creation projects as forms of educational and community exploration, which contributes to the understanding of scenarios ravaged by armed conflict. His proposal is based on the conceptual discussion between semiotics and hermeneutics on the configuration of meanings and significances as scenarios for creation in schools and in citizenship training projects. I have also been a professor at national universities such as the Universidad del Valle (Cali), Universidad de Antioquia (Medellín), and Universidad Nacional de Colombia (Bogotá), as well as international universities such as the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA - USA), Universidad de Granada (Spain), and University of Jinan (China), among others.

In addition, I have been an academic consultant for peacebuilding projects with the Cultural Division of the Bank of the Republic of Colombia and the Ministry of Culture and Knowledge (Colombia). Currently, I am the representative of Early Career Researchers for the Americas of the International Association for Semiotic Studies (IASS-AIS).
