Carlos Andrés Uribe Piedrahíta has been associated with the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana for more than 20 years and is currently Director of the Department of Economic Law at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Bogotá, and a full-time professor at the same university. He teaches at various universities in Colombia and Latin America, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He also conducts research in fields such as free economic competition, economic law, law and sustainability, consumer law, personal data, and other subjects relevant to the economy.
He has conducted various research projects on economic law issues in the business and education sectors. He has also served as a consultant to various companies in Colombia.
The professor's main research interests include free competition and sustainability. He is also interested in e-commerce and the digital dynamics that accompany commerce in this sector.
Over the years, the professor has published a considerable number of original articles in highly reputable international peer-reviewed journals. The professor is a reviewer and coordinator for the journal Vniversitas, published by the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
