    Overview

    Personal profile

I am a chemist (2007) with a Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences (2011) from the University of Antioquia, with two postdoctoral experiences abroad (Australia (2012) and Mexico (2013)), specializing in computational chemistry. I conduct electronic structure calculations for gases, solids, and liquids, as well as bioinformatics calculations such as molecular docking and classical and ab initio molecular dynamics. I lead the computational chemistry research line in the Department of Chemistry at Pontifical Javeriana University, where I have been working as a full-time professor since 2014. I am currently an associate professor II

I am passionate about working with people, which is why I have completed leadership and Ignatian philosophy courses at our university. Additionally, I am the lead tutor of our research seedbed titled Sustainable use of natural resources. I am always eager to learn and expand my network of collaborators, that is whay as a professor at Javeriana, I have conducted research internships as a Visiting Researcher in the United States and Germany, where I acquired skills in solid-state modeling. Whenever possible, I disseminate our results at national and international events, and this same passion for science and its dissemination is what I try to impart to my students.
