    Overview

    Personal profile

I am a PhD student in Philosophy at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Colombia), in a dual degree program with the Interuniversity Doctorate in Logic and Philosophy of Science at the University of Salamanca (Spain). Since 2020, I have been a Professor in the Philosophy Degree Program at ECEDU, UNAD. My research areas lie within the philosophy of animal mind, in close connection with the philosophy of biology and philosophical naturalism. My work is not confined to the philosophical tradition understood as the study of authors and their theories; rather, I start from conceptual problems or concrete phenomena, which I approach through a critical study of that tradition in dialogue with contributions from related disciplines and sciences. This interdisciplinary approach allows me to carry out research that upholds philosophical rigor while taking into account evidence provided by other fields of knowledge. Currently, I am investigating whether shared intentionality is an exclusively human capacity or whether it can also be extended to non-human animals. To this end, I take social play as a particular reference point, understood as a phenomenon (behavior/conduct) observable in the social dynamics of non-human animals. This necessarily entails acknowledging a notion of individual intentionality in non-human animals.
