Overview
Personal profile
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Humanities and Spanish Language and a Master's degree in Communication - Education from Universidad Distrital. I am also a Multimedia Production Technologist, with complementary training in the use of e-learning tools through various diploma programs. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Communication, Languages, and Information at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, where I focus on research exploring the intersections between education, communication, and emerging technologies. Throughout my career, I have worked in different academic fields, including academic coordination, teaching at the primary and secondary levels, and providing guidance in teaching-learning processes aimed at strengthening reading and writing skills. My research experience has been oriented toward examining the relationship between communication, education, and technological mediations. At present, within the framework of my doctoral studies in Communication, Languages, and Information, I am conducting the research project Learning Ecologies and Digital Literacy among Secondary School Teachers in Bogotá: Appropriation and Resistance toward Generative Artificial Intelligence. This work seeks to understand how teachers' learning ecologies are shaped in school contexts, as well as the challenges, tensions, and opportunities that emerge in relation to the integration of generative artificial intelligence technologies into pedagogical practices.
