    Personal profile

    PhD in Aesthetics and Philosophy of Art from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2007), with a postdoctoral stay as Visiting Professor at the University of St. Thomas, Houston (2010), and additional training in executive management from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.

    He currently directs the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Program at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Cali, where he works to build an academic space that integrates research, food culture, and the education of professionals with a critical and creative vision.

    As Principal Investigator (PI) in internationally oriented projects, he has led research teams within Ibero-American and European networks, with an academic output that includes articles in journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, book chapters, and works as both author and editor with international publishers. His research lines move across visual culture, communication, contemporary critical studies, and, more recently, heritage and the symbolic dimensions of gastronomy.

    Throughout his career, he has taught and conducted research at universities in Spain, Mexico, Ecuador, and Colombia—including the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Abat Oliba CEU, ESNE Madrid, and ITESM—and has directed Factor Dos Estudio, a visual communication atelier with projects for institutions such as the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, Les Musées de France, MACBA, MNCARS, and MAMBO in Bogotá.
