    Overview

    Personal profile

A biologist with a Master's degree in Biological Sciences, I am currently completing my doctorate at the Faculty of Environmental and Rural Studies at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (PUJ)—my dissertation defense has been approved and I am in the process of obtaining my diploma. My career has focused on insect systematics, with contributions including the description of a new genus and 14 species of parasitoids during my master's studies. My doctoral research addresses the characterization of genetic and phenotypic variation in parasitoid wasp populations within the context of the tropical dry forest. The study is framed within the concepts of biological invasion, contemporary evolution, plant-animal interactions, and phylogeny, analyzing the ecological system that contrasts native and exotic beetle hosts in the plant-herbivore-parasitoid interaction, with an emphasis on the impact of exotic species on biodiversity. I am the author of 5 indexed articles and have teaching experience as an assistant in the Animal Communication course at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, as well as a teaching assistant and lecturer in Biogeography at the PUJ. I am involved in the ID20491_BOSQUESECO project.
