Ricardo Castaño is linked to the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Cali since 2005 and is currently director of the Department of Organizational Management. He teaches in the marketing programme and conducts research in the field of marketing, international markets and the consumer. 

He has conducted research on eWom, consumer research and consumer generated media. He has been a member of the faculty council and the committee of the department of organization management. Furthermore, he has also been a guest lecturer in the research seminar ‘Measuring the credibility of consumer generated media’ and has been a consultant in international marketing and marketing research for different companies in southeastern Colombia.

His main research interests include consumer engagement, digital platforms and brand awareness. He is also interested in digitalization and internationalization. The professor has published over the years 3 original articles in reputable international peer-reviewed journals. 

Professor Ricardo Castaño is an outstanding member of the academic community of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana Cali, where he has left a significant mark since he joined the university. His leadership as director of the Department of Organizational Management, his teaching work in the marketing programme and his extensive experience in marketing research make him a reference in his field.
