Systems Engineer from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, holding a Master’s degree in Computer Science and a PhD (cum laude) in Systems Engineering from Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands. His work integrates information systems and data analytics to design data-driven services and decision processes, with a strong focus on digital health, clinical research support, and digital transformation. He serves as professor, researcher, and consultant in data-driven innovation projects. He has held several academic and scientific leadership roles, including Head of the Department of Systems Engineering at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Director of the Big Data and Data Analytics Excellence Center (CAOBA Alliance), and Associate Director of the scientific ecosystem of Colombia Científica’s GAT Program, and currently serves as editor of the journal Engineering for Development.
