Overview
Personal profile
Acadmic background: Bachelor's degree in Spanish, English, and French languages teaching; Master's degree in Literature; PhD student in Environmental and Rural Studies at PUJ, second semester. My master's research project, a publishable article, consisted of an analysis of the human-nature relationship in a selection of poems by Aurelio Arturo (1906-1974), an author from Nariño, Colombia. I volunteered in 2021-2022 for the Cerros de Bogotá Foundation's ecological restoration initiatives alongside the Umbral Cultural Horizontes Reserve team, which greatly informed my doctoral research proposal. Research interests: I am interested in the human-nature relationship mediated by language. My doctoral research aims to understand the role of discourse in the dynamics of collective management of strategic ecosystems such as Andean forests (ecological restoration, environmental education, etc.). I am developing this work under the supervision of Professor Victoria Guáqueta. My research group is: Institutionality and Rural Development.
