    Research Professor at the Institute of Public Health of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana since 2023. Line of research in health and environment with focus on mathematical and spatial modeling of neglected tropical diseases (vectors and zoonoses) and the health impacts of climate change. General Coordinator of the Latin America and the Caribbean Climate Change and Health Hub (CLIMAS Hub) at the ISP/PUJ.

    Veterinary doctor graduated from the National University of Colombia (2005-2010); MSc (2011-2013) in Experimental Epidemiology Applied to Zoonoses from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil and PhD (2013-2017) in epidemiology focused on mathematical and spatial modeling of infectious diseases. Doctoral internship at the Brockmann Lab - Research on Complex Systems of the Robert Koch Institute and the Humboldt University of Berlin (2016-2017). Specialist in machine learning (University of Washington, 2016). Research stay at the University of Colorado (2019-2020) focused on the formulation of Bayesian models applied to the impact of climate on the occurrence of vector-borne diseases. Postdocs at the Centro Nacional de Pesquisa em Energia e Materiais, CNPEM -Brazil (2018-2019) applying machine learning techniques to drug discovery and at the District Institute of Science Biotechnology and Innovation in Health IDCBIS-Colombia/MinCiencias (2021-2022 ) applying artificial intelligence techniques in therapies based on umbilical cord cells.
