    Heiny is an Environmental Engineer from the Technological University of Chocó. She is a recognized environmental youth leader in the city of Quibdó and throughout the country. Her commitment to community social processes and her ethnic-specific approach set her apart as a passionate and dedicated professional. The Environmental Engineer has been a catalyst for environmental protection campaigns and strategies, fostering awareness and the stewardship of the natural environment. She has provided training to individuals on environmental topics and values, and has participated in national and international research on the Atrato River and bio-diverse cities (biodiverciudades). Her efforts have been acknowledged with numerous awards and decorations, highlighting her social and environmental dedication in her community.
