    Musicologist, Msc. in Cultural Studies and PhD in Social and Human Sciences. Winner of the 2014 Casa de las Américas Musicology Award. Author of several books, articles and chapters on musical significance and research-creation in the university environment. Member of the Research-creation Board of the Ministry of Sciences. He participated in the Mission of Experts convened by the national government in 2019 as Technical Secretary of the Creative and Cultural Industries Focus. At the Javeriana University he has been coordinator of the Children and Youth Arts Program, director of the Music Department and Assistant for Artistic Creation of the Vice-Rector's Office for Research. Currently, he is director of the Pensar Institute of Social and Cultural Studies.
