    Overview

    Personal profile

I am a physiotherapist from Universidad Manuela Beltrán, hold a Ph.D. in Bioethics from Universidad El Bosque, a Master’s degree in Education from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, and a Specialization in Physical Exercise for Health from Universidad del Rosario. I am a university professor and a Senior Researcher recognized by Minciencias under call 957 of 2024. I have developed educational and technological projects in the health field, with emphasis on physical activity, physical fitness, exercise and sports physiology, biomechanical analysis, and human body movement in high-performance athletes, as well as training processes supported by digital technologies.

I have led research projects on health promotion, physical fitness assessment across different age groups, development and validation of measurement tools and equipment, and the creation of Virtual Learning Objects (VLOs) validated using instructional models such as Merrill’s and Gagné’s. My career has been marked by the integration of physical activity and sport with educational sciences, using mixed-method approaches—primarily quantitative—with contributions in knowledge generation, human resource training, innovation, and social appropriation of knowledge.

I also have experience in academic management, curriculum design, and strengthening of teaching competencies. My research interests include the relationship between sport, physical and mental health, the use of new technologies applied to physical activity, sport, and exercise for health, and the analysis of public policies on active aging and health education.
